About

I'm Louis Boulanger, a 1st year Ph.D student in computer science at the LIG laboratory in Grenoble, France, in the DATAMOVE team. My research thesis is about leveraging the properties of the Rust programming language for non-volatile memory programming.

I'm mainly working with Rust for my projects, as well as x86 assembly for the very low-level parts of working with non-volatile memory. I use Emacs and org-mode extensively for my research and my personnal organisation, and I use NixOS as my main work environment in order to guarantee the reproducibility of my experiments. You can find most of my work on my Github account.

I was born in Annecy, a scenic city in the alps, bordering one of the most beautiful lakes. I studied at the IUT of Annecy, before continuing in Grenoble.
